To trust someone is to voluntarily make yourself dependent on that person for some outcome, result, or consequence. Jesus wants us to trust Him even when things look really bad.
Why is it important to trust?
It is necessary for the formation, continuation, and strength of any kind of personal relationship.
All of us (humans) need a dependable and predictable relationship/environment to feel safe.
We all have limitations. We soon realize we have a need for others and for God.
Why do people find it hard to trust God?
We struggle to trust him because of authority abuse, associations, and an independent controlling spirit.
