What does it mean to “live out of your spirit?” To understand this, let’s go back to the garden. God created Adam, placed him in the garden and told him to “till the ground.” God gave Adam work; therefore, work is a gift from God.
God desires us to be stewards of our work. Having a strong work ethic and developing our minds with an education — all these things have to do with being stewards of the work God has given us.
But, it goes a step further than that. God intends for us to work, but not with our own intellect or physical effort. He wants us to live out of our spirit because He blesses the works of our hands.
We live out of our spirit by spending time in the word and pouring the word in our hearts. When we fill up our spirit with the word of God, Matthew 12:35 tells us that out of our heart should come good things.
Remember, there is nothing you can’t accomplish with your faith.
