There will be consequences, #temptations, and tests. Consequences are just the outcomes of our own poor decision making. Temptations come from satan. And there are times that God tests us in order to challenge us to move outside of our comfort zone.

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.”

Luke 6:48 — Notice it says “when.” There will be tests (flood/streams) along the visions journey that we must pass.

Why God Tests Us:

Sometimes God tests us to prove/demonstrate the quality of your faith and devotions.
God tests us in order to challenge us to move outside of our comfort zone.
God tests us to help us or challenge us to believe for more than what we believe we can have.
God tests us for self-awareness. Sometimes He created a test question so that we can ask ourselves.

Tests You Must Pass Along the Vision Journey

TIME TEST
You must pass the time test. This is when it seems like the promise God gave you isn’t coming to pass.

ADVERSITY TEST
You must pass the adversity test. This is when your present circumstances contradict the Word God gave you.

CHARACTER TEST
You must pass the character test. This is when you’re tempted to compromise Godly standards.

MOTIVATION TEST
You must pass the motivation test. This is when God asks you WHY.

SERVANT TEST
You must pass the servant test. Are you a servant? Do you have a servant’s heart? If you’re not willing to serve, you’re not qualified to lead.

MISUNDERSTOOD TEST
You must pass the misunderstood test. This is when those who love you misinterpret your motives

OFFENSE TEST
You must pass the offense test. This is when you feel justified by holding a grudge and feeling bitter.

DISAPPOINTMENT TEST
You must pass the disappointment test. This is when setbacks and delays attempt to break your will.

MONEY TEST
You must pass the money test. This is when God asks you to give beyond your comfort zone. To give something to someone else that you wanted to keep.

THING TEST
You must pass the things test. This is when you have a good reputation and you have plenty of resources. Will you still be respectful of all people, or high-minded?
