You are complete in Christ. When God sees you, He sees you finished & complete. Many Christians are not walking in the reality of their completeness in Christ because of a self-image problem.

What does it mean if you’re complete in Christ? Complete in Christ means to be satisfied (sufficient: So, from God’s perspective you are sufficient. There’s nothing lacking or missing inside of you), accomplished (highly skilled, proficient), fulfilled (happiness or contentment), and finished (to reach the end).

What is self-image?
Self-image is a mental picture of yourself. Self-image is a self-portrait. Self-images involves how you feel about your strength, weaknesses and your abilities.

Why is self-image important?
Because we usually act in harmony in what we think and feel about ourselves. How ever you think and feel about YOURSELF, you will act in harmony with that. Numbers 13:33 KJV/NLT (the way you see yourself, will influence others to see you the same way). Usually how we see ourselves is reflected by others for us.

The five influences on your self-image:
1. Other People – sometimes our self-image is developed by people’s opinions of us. What others think about us. By how other people treat us. By culture and media’s evaluation of us. When we are affirmed by people, we feel good about ourselves (i.e., growing up as a student, I excelled because my mother thought I was the smartest person on earth. And so, I began to see myself the way my mother saw me).

 2. Yourself – If you have a poor self-image, it will ruin your future. If you have a poor self-image, then you will project yourself on other people.

3. Satan – he wants you to see you in you. He wants you to see yourself in the light of your experiences.

4. Experiences — some people identify themselves because of their experiences.

5. God — How God sees you. God sees the believer in Christ. God sees you in Christ, he does not see you out of Christ. He does not see you the way you were before you got saved. He does not see you in the light of your experiences.
