Good success is being who God calls you to be and doing what He calls you to do. This is impossible without a God-given vision. We should let God establish our identity and purpose.
Some people enjoy success, but it’s not good success.
Here are three requirements to receiving and operating in a God-given vision:
HAVING A COMMITTED PRAYER LIFE (Mark 1:35-38)
In order to have a committed prayer life, you have to carve out time when you can be with God. Just you and God alone. God is not obligated to resource what He didn’t tell you to do. When you are prioritizing a committed prayer life, getting the mind of God for your business/life dream/ministry, you’re demonstrating submission to Jesus Christ over your business/life dream/ministry. If we do not have a committed prayer life, we will end up with a vision that is not God-given.
AVOIDING COMPARISONS (2 Corinthians 10:12)
You have to avoid comparing yourself to other people. God did not create you to be a clone. If you’re successful at being like someone else and doing what someone else does, you will be unsuccessful in God’s eyesight.
UNDERSTANDING SPIRITUAL JURISDICTION
Spiritual jurisdiction is just like natural jurisdiction. Don’t stretch yourself outside of what God has called you to do. Understanding spiritual jurisdiction involves knowing what you’re not called to do. Just because you can, doesn’t mean that you should.
