In business, when it comes to vision there are two sorts of leaders. Transactional Leaders and Transformational Leaders. Transactional Leaders are generally concerned about keeping the organization or group that they lead at a “status quo” level with very little progression or innovation included within their leadership. A transformation leader (on the other hand) is more change oriented focused on engaging followers with a vision of the future. Generally, companies employ transformational leaders when they want to think outside of the box and go to the next level. Do you want to be a transformational leader? One of the main qualities you need to establish is how to establish and communicate a solid vision.

Vision carries the idea of perception- to mentally perceive what others do not see or simply put, a vision is a mental image of future desires. Christian leaders cast a vision of what God wants them to be, where He wants them to get there. Here are three components of an effective vision and four steps to effectively communicate your vision.

Components of an Effective Vision:

  • Make it Portable – Write your vision where it is easy to understand and easy for people to carry out and explain to others.

  • Make it Memorable – Make your message plain, clear, uncomplicated, and short and simple.

  • Make it Motivational – Inspire people with your vision and ideas.
