A faith-based relationship is not based on circumstances, feelings or the experience of others. God operates by principle and not by mood or feelings. Consistency requires that we operate by principles and not by moods or feelings.

Approach life from a spiritual standpoint.

The Five Conditions of Trust

THE QUALITY OF TME YOU SPEND IN GOD’S WORD
We have to spend more time in God’s Word! Especially during a crisis, because there is a lot of negative information that is flowing.

YOUR FELLOWSHIP IN GOD IN PRAYER (ACTS 6:4)

Prayer is very important. You can only trust people that you know, and you can only know people that you spend time with. This is true of God. As you spend more time with God, you will know what He is like. You will know Him and not just what He said.

YOUR DEVELOPMENT OF A FAITH-BASED RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD (HEBREWS 11:6)

Your development of a faith-based relationship with God is important. This is a relationship based on the scriptural revelation of who God is and His nature.

To be able to trust someone, we need predictable responses on their part (James 1:17). If you can develop a faith-based relationship with God, you will be consistent. Consistency requires that we operate by principles and not by moods or feelings.

YOUR BOLDNESS TO OBEY

You have to be bold to obey God (Luke 5). As you obey Him, it builds your trust. God will never let you down when you obey Him.

YOUR EXPERIENCE OF GOD’S FAITHFULNESS
Developed trust is confidence (1 Samuel 17:37). Confidence is trust that has been proved right, so often that it has come to a state of settle conviction.

“It is possible to know the scripture and not know the person who said it. As you spend more time with God, you will know what He is like. You will know Him and not just what He said.” — Mike Moore
