Why is work so important? Because through work we serve others. Work gives God something to bless, and He will bless the works of our hands! This is important because through work we reflect God's image! We reveal God's ways!

If we exchange our thinking for God's way of thinking, then we can walk out God's perfect will for our lives.

– Mike Moore

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
— Romans 12:2

What is work? Work means to bring about or produce results. (Genesis 2:15 “Origin of Work”)

There are three forms of work that God values.

1.     Work in the Home
2.     Work in the Church
3.     Work in the Industry

The workplace is the greatest Evangelist field for the average Christian.

God’s plan for man is that he intended from
the beginning to be a co-worker with us.
(Genesis 2:19)

In whatever industry you’re in, you have to go to work understanding that God’s plan is to work WITH you! We (you and I) are not working for ourselves. We are working with God and we’re working for HIS purpose.

We are laborers together with God.
— 1 Corinthians 3:9

4 Misconceptions about Work:

Work is part of a curse.

You can get something for nothing.

Rest is better than work.

That retirement is the goal of work.

Automobiles run on gasoline and humans run on work. When you quit working, you begin to die.
— See Mike Moore's illustration below

My mother was a great cook. She could flat out burn (throw it down!) When my dad passed away and I grew up, she no longer had anyone to cook for, so she couldn’t cook anything. The ability left. Why? Because she quit cooking. Once she quit cooking, she lost her skills. When you QUIT, you die. It may be the death of intelligence, or the sounding of mind, etc. It ends up being the death of a skill.

You were created to function and do things! DO what you want to do, when you want to do it!
