God's intent for us is to be the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. Lenders and not borrowers. Mind renewal is a process. It involves repetition. Don’t allow the repetition to offend you, its purpose is to renew you.
False Belief: The Bible teaches that wealth, success, and prosperity will destroy a person.
The things that stay with you are the things you hear over and over again.
Wealth - (Deuteronomy 8:18 NKJV)
Success - (Joshua 1:8 NKJV) If success is inherently destructive, the bible would instruct us Believers to avoid being successful. However here, God tells us clearly how to be successful.
Prosperity - (Psalm 35:27 NKJV) If you have an aversion for prosperity, wealth, success, then you’ll never prosper on the level that God intends for you to prosper. The scripture tells us that our prosperity brings God pleasure. It magnifies God. Psalm 23
What the Bible really says: The Bible really says, the wrong use concerning wealth/success/prosperity will destroy people. The scriptures say that the wrong methods of gaining wealth will destroy a person. If you approach it the wrong way it will destroy you. (Proverbs 15:37 New American Standard Bible) There are proper ways to gain wealth: honest labor, legitimate gifts, legitimate investments, inheritance, insurance payments, awards or favors, etc.
There are also improper ways to gain wealth: through gambling, stealing, sexual acts, etc.
